Is alcohol halal?

Ingredient

I recently read that alcohol that were created during natural processes is halal. For instance, kimchi is halal even though it contains certain percentage of alcohol. Right? I also read that as long as alcohol is fully absorbed into the food and no trace of it can be felt throght tasting and smelling, it is halal. One example of this would be bread containing small amount of alcohol. You can't feel alcohol just from smelling or tasting. Right? Does it mean it's halal? https://islamqa.info/en/answers/201520/is-alcohol-in-food-haram

no it's not at all ..

It is hard question. It is better to ask the Muslim council. In Indonesian Muslim Council fatwa, the small amount of alcohol produced naturally during food processing (not beverages production) is halal. They set the maximum content is 0.25%. It is may be the case of Kimchi. However, adding the alcoholic beverages, khamr, or so to food is haram even though the alcohol content less than 0.25%. It may be the case of adding the rum as flavour to bakery. Allahu a'lam. Better to ask to our or nearest Muslim Council.
