Is kimchi Halal?

I heard that during the process of making kimchi , some kind trans oil ,which contains mostly animal oil, is used. So it is haram. is it true?

acutally in kimchi there is not any kind of trans fats
However, it is difficult to call it halal because of the alcohol in process of fermentation. But you can buy halal certifird kimchi too
