i heard that if the food contain alchohol that is not enough to make us intoxicated is ok to eat

if the properties of alcohol have not vanished during the cooking process, then it is haram, even if it doesn't intoxicate you. otherwise drinking a little alcohol would've been ok. if during the cooking process, the alcohol completely evaporated or changed, then it is ok.
